You people have really short wants lists!
If I had unlimited dough I would run to the shop and get:
-A mixer with 64 channels, 5 aux sends per channel, like 3 inserts per channel, 5 band EQ + mid-sweep per channel, a bunch of busses (dunno if this thing exists, would be neat tho )
-A bunch of effect processors, so I never run out of FX
-A stack of compressors, so I can compress several separate channels simultaneously + the mix
-All the Roland TR's there are, especially 909
-A TB-303 or two
-Roland Juno and Jupiter (dunno which ones)
-A REALLY expensive microphone (not like my $30 CRAP-mike)
-Access Virus, Indigo
-Clavia Nord Lead 3, 2, Electro, Modular
-Korg MS-2000, Karma/Triton
-Moog Minimoog, Memorymoog
-some Simmons drum machines
-Sherman 2 filterbank
-A Real Expensive acoustic drum kit
-A Fender Stratocaster with a big ass amp & FX
-Alesis Andromeda A6
-a couple of Akai S6000's
I propbably forgot a bunch of things

Ok, eventually, when I get a real job.. I'll acquire as follow..
**Yamaha RS7000** (and ext zip250 drive)
http://www.yamaha.com/cgi-win/webcg...gTGN00005RS7000
- integrated sampler / sequencer
I haven't tried it, but I hear it's better than the MPC-2000XL. Basically its the new successor to the RM1X.
You can upgrade its 4megs upto 64megs and have a really decent sampler.
Only problem with unit is there only being 1 out. In this case, the Akai could be better with the expansion card... (I'd like to hear your opinions of both units)
**Yamaha O1V**

24 channel digital mixing console, all you routing you need, can save different settings for different tracks. 100% midi.
**Access Virus KB**

Sure its ugly as hell, 61 keys to drive. 6 individual outs, basically the works.. (like you seriously don't need another synth)
I can't think of anything else!
Possibly an effects unit and a compressor unit (can anyone suggest anything)..
Actually, using another sample with more individual outs (allowing to process hats, other samples) might be good as well..
And finally, you might add a novation drum station with this if you didn't want to sample your drums/breaks.
Lemme know your comments (not like I'll get a studio, but when I graduate in 2 years or so, it'll be a differnt story)
