Firstly, I am using some wav files in the sampler. Now when i put them in the sequencer (for arguments sake lets say i have 64 squares in there) of a little synth loop. What i wanna do is make it filter up from silence (or from the sub bass) to its full glory. The only other way i can explain the effect im after is if you turn all the eq down to -20 and slowly put them all to 0 in turn. Ya see ?
Can this even be done in fruity ? You could do it in reason using maelstorm and have it automaticlly filter the sound up but can it be done in fruity with a sample ? or will i need to use a VST to do it ?
Secondly, i have strange problems if i tried to change the key of a bassline. For example, working with a one note bassline sample in wav format. When i put it into the piano rool and move a block even above C5, it sounds all chipmunks.
Can that be solved or again is it just a problem with using wav files and i need to create them in fruity ?
Thanks

Check the FL help
btw right click over the filter cutoff knob (FreeFilter or whatever), and select create automation clip. Feature only available in FL5+ i think..
Good luck

Yes, you need FL Studio 5+ to get automation clips at the bottom of the playlist.
As for those wav basslines, I highly recommend using a synth for that. Wav files will simply stretch and shrink according to how far you are from their root key. For example, if a wav bass is C5, and you put one on C7 in your piano roll, it will be shrunk a couple of times, resulting in a shorter sample (with probably lower sound quality). It simply won't work that well...

I don’t like automation clips!!!!@ I still prefer the old way of automation,Here`s why if I create a a filter clip for say a synth and lets say that filter clip-A is for the into of my track, when I another filter clip-B,but still on the same synth and let’s say when the track is near the main riff I add a second clip it seems to "Pull" and offset my existing clip-A Why does Fl do this I forced myself to do things the old way using the automation editor it still works nice and does not cause this sort problems.
I if some could explain why its doing this it b cool.
Cheers
