Commercial Tunes!

Hi to all DJs in the house,

After spinning for sometime, im too agrresive to play lots of underground/new trance tunes that they never heard before.. then i had some feedback from the crowds.. lots of them told me that they need something commercial..

So im trying to figure out.. what do you really mean by commercial?? And i had also figure out some commercial tunes to spin along...

So lets discuss.. IMO this tracks below r commercial:

Andain - Beautiful Things
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun
Tiesto - Adagio for string
Tiesto - Traffic
Tiesto - Urban Train
AVB - Burn with Desire
Whiteroom - Whiteroom
Ferry Corsten - Punk

So what bout urs.. can we share more?

Thanks! & Cheers!

Let's see...

Ridgewalkers - Find (must!)
Armin Van Buuren - Shivers
Presamera - Swing 2 Harmony
Racheal Starr - Till there was you (G&D mix)<--- not commercial but hell of a tune!
Ferry Corsten - Rock you Body
Angeli and Nelison - SHiver (JOC remix) I repeat John 'O Callaghan's Remix is insane!
Push - Strange world (old but people still love it)
Mike Foyle - Love theme Dusk (release sept 13) <--- this is one going to be a major trance anthem for the masses
Yahel - Behind Silence <--- massive tune!
Max Graham - Owner of a lonely Heart
Coca and Villa - La Noche

Well thats all i can think about right now.

P.S who is that Beautiful girl in your avatar!?

Not sure what you are playing that isn't commercial and what sort of venue you are playing. They may not even be refering to commercial trance? Just dance music in general.

Don't be afraid, drop something commercial if it gets the party started right. But research the crowd, and find out what they mean by that first. You should be able to see by reading them if they are into it or not.

And people shouldn't always assume that just because something is popular it isn't good. They may also just mean that they want you to drop something they know. Drop some old favourites that you know everyone likes.

Cheers
Nem

Commerical to me would be:

Benny Benassi - Satisfaction
Robbie Rivera - Funk-o-tron
Some Dumbass - Shiny Disco Balls
Fatboy Slim - *69
Eifel 65 - Blue
AvB - Burned With Desire

That's the stuff all the drunk chicks ask for when I play at the Julio clubs.

You might be able to get away with "Rock Your Body Rock", but most club heathens don't recognize Ferry.

so true... you might try

eric prydz - call on me
ben benassi - satisfaction

or remixes of pop songs... britney spears comes to mind, but try any remix of dido,
evanescence - hello (g & d remix)
the killers - mr. brightside (thin white duke remix)
coldplay - speed of sound (karl g remix)
martin roth - last time <-keane
nirvana - smells like teen spirit (dirty funker remix)

its housey, but its something people will kinda recognize and they'll think they're like 1337 cuz they recognize the music
