Gawd!!!! theyre everywhere. I reciently removed the faders of my empath and there was a dead one there, next, i decided to use my hd-280s and there was one crawing in the cushion and it crawed on my ear during recording, then latter there was one crawing on my monitor right when i was in the middle of a movie. This is driving me mad... I just moved my equipment to a different room and right now i see at least four crawing around. I know I'm not the only one here, I;ve read a few other posts about this problem. I just wanta know what you guys did... BTW, i live in a very clean house, Except my equipment is setup in the basement where it can disturb as few people as possiable.

Curious for a solution as well, only in my instance it's ants. My room is clean, as in no food or drink, and I know the ants are going for the electrical equipment because it's all on one half of the room, and they stay on that half.

Talk to amb_ he is an extermantior. I saw one of his posts on how to kill them, jesus christ.
Anyways, The one that was in my headphones freaked the crap out of me when it started crawing on my ear. Now i have to check almost everytime i put on a pair of headphones. But it doesn't really piss me off when they sneak into my basement, however, when it comes to getting inside of my pc and dj stuff, that really pisses me off.
The article also says earwigs are attracted to lights and moisture. Well in my basement i have a bright blacklight that can be seen from the outside rather brightly, also by my window there's an AC unit that puts out moisture around the window.

an earwig was in your ear?
lol

The name earwig is derived from a European superstition that these insects enter the ears of a sleeping person and bore into the brain. This belief is totally unfounded.

That sucks. I have a bunch of spiders in my room, but I like them because they eat all of the other bugs. Try spreading some boric acid around the perimeter of the room.

Was crawing on your ear!! AHHHH. I hate bugs. That sucks ass man, I was having a silverfish problem, googled about them and did some learning, found out they like stuff and I got rid of that stuff, and bought me some silverfish traps, no idea if there is "earwig traps" though.

This is crazy, I have never heard of anything like this before. The worst thing I have ever had in my room is a spider.
Dunno what you could do but I would recomend a DNX-1500 mixer, watch the ******s try and crawl around in that when it gets hot.
