Unhappy my turn to moan and groan

ok, its my turn to have a moan and a winge.

I was working on this remix of a scott project track last night, sounded really good when i finished it in my studio.
I burn it to cd to test in my car stereo system this morning and the eqing sounds terrible on it, way to much bass not enough mids and high's and yet on my studio monitors it sounds fine! god damn! grrrr.

ok moan over!

is your car EQ flat? Do you have subs?

don't remaster just because of you car, it may be the system.

Only if you don't have a clue about what you are doing.

Tip: If your speakers arent accurate studio monitors, frequently listen to other successful tracks so you can get used to what levels sound right. Not a 100% successful technique but it certainly helps.

Never burn any cds without referencing first. If you actually own accurate studio monitors, then you would be able to balance the frequencies correctly when A/B'ing with your favourite tracks.

Man, why would you try and remix Scot Project? My view on remixes is that they should only be done if you think you can make it better. I highly doubt you made it better than the original lol.

It very well could be your moniters. What kind do you have? If they are tuned to make it sound better than you should pitch them.

Why don't you post your remix here so we can listen whether the balance is good or not?
