REVIEW: 2005.08.26. Activate 4 Year Anniversary @ System - DONALD GLAUDE, JELO
OMFG....
what an insane night. Made it there pretty early as Sean and I wanted to get in with free cover. Nevertheless the night flew by!!!
The music was just incredible...most of the night I was struggling with dancing as I was VERY intoxicated....around after 4 am In was flying!!! My legs are a mess today
Partied with some old faces from KW and meet some really hard core partiers!! You guys rock and put my partying to shame!! haha

It was definately an incredible night....Donald Glaude and techno is exactly what I need before Labour of Love. When he dropped The Manimal....I BECAME the manimal lol To all the TAs who didn't show up, you guys definately missed out on one of the better nights of the year. It was great meeting a couple of TAs I didn't meet before like Kelly and Sarah. You guys rock, and it was a pleasure partying with the rest of you, especially Sean and Graham
EDIT: nice pictures Kelly, especially love the Glaude's hands in the air one

I was tired when I got there, after waking up at 5am and working a 10 hour shift. The music got me going and I managed to stay till 5am partying non stop. I got home just in time to take an hour long nap then head back to work . Great seeing everyone there, and meeting new faces. I can't believe Glaude dropped Jump On It!
Yes, I busted out the Fresh Prince dance.

Fun fun night. Great tunes in both rooms all night long but what really got me was seeing the place packed, the crowd up for anything, friendly vibes, tons of faces who came out of the woodwork - it was an Old School System night indeed!!
It takes an event like this to make me realize just how much I miss the good ol' days. *sigh*
Kudos to the Activate crew, you guys outdid ourselves with this one and then some.
A surreal moment of the night was seeing Glaude scratching using his NOSE. I had to look twice, but yep, he was doing it. Talk about a party dj.

hehe, that's a regular weekend. I've worked every weekend for the past year, so I'm always stuck leaving a party early, getting home with just enough time to shower and go to work.
I only wish I could go to boa today, but I'm stuck going to a stupid birthday party

Haha! I remember when I went to System a couple years back and met a local on the dancefloor. When I told him I was from the K-dub he said, "Y'know I can always tell who the kitchener (Waterloo/Cambridge) people are, coz they're always fuckin' givin' 'er!" I'll always fly the banner high and proud - Nice t'know are still do too.
Glad you decided to make it out after all, Kel.
Glaude took top honors for me this go-round, but I have to say that it's been awhile since I've seen a set as eclectic as Bassbin Twins. Top-notch all the way around. And can't wait for Josh's CD.

big thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate 4 years of Activate with us on Friday. We couldn't have asked for a better crew of people to be there!
I knew as soon as I got there that it was going to be a special night... it was just too bad i missed most of the action cause I was playing in the front room from about 1:45-5am
I hear it went well though. nice to see it still packed and going strong when i went to dance at 5!
Thanks again!
