I watched the first episode. Most of it, anyway. I didn't bother to finish it. I seriously can't imagine anything being more graphically violent than that, and I just had absolutely no interest in it. I'm not real big on violence for the sake of violence.

scale of violence:

berserk>devilman 2000 > elfen lied

devilman held the top spot for a few years because it basically has amon eating a child. along with other stuff....but elfen lied just had exploding limbs and bodies all over the shop. admitedly towards the end it got a bit old and the continuous violence started to drag. overall it had a good enough plot to pull it through though.

...etc

i didnt get the HQ rips, i got the fansub rips which were nicely sized at 140mb a piece

main character lucy/nyuu is getting bullied. bunch of schoolkids take her dog and beat it to death rather brutally. after a bit of angst she rips them to bits with her mental powers, \o/

Fucked up. I used to be way into anime but stopped. I think the last anime series I watched in full as it was being subbed was Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

i didn't care for it.

it seems like they took every chance they could to show some titties, or have the male character in compromising positions with nyu, plus WTF is up with his cousin being jealous, INCEST, HELLO!!!!!

It was okay. Damn, damn, goddamn cheesy though. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was good, because it was no Onegai Twins...

The first season is mediocre, for the most part. A couple characters are interesting, but the fact that the people making the series didn't seem to know where to take it all throughout its run coupled with the pseudo-incest romance between Nemu and Jun'Ichi is a deterrent.

I started the second season yesterday, though, and it seems alright.

My thoughts exactly.

Then you better just forego watching Da Capo and watch Sister Princess.
