Nomen Nescio - The Colour Of Autumn (original mix/192 kpbs version)

Hey people,

I am back with a new track called The Colour Of Autumn. It is a bit different from what I usually make in the sense that I used a lot of new sounds. Especially my lead sound is quite nice I think Also it is a bit less uplifting as my usual stuff.

Personally I believe this is my best track from a technical point of view Also been getting good response from local en befriended Dj's

Very curious what my fellow trance addicts here think about the track.

Listen to the Colour Of Autumn at:

Thanks to Sevenseas for his help on the kick

Hi m8,

Intro: Dunno what I need to expect, bass seems a bit too rough.

First lead coming in: Ambiance is getting better.

More synth blending in: No more critics for the bass, due to compressing it fits nice.

Break: Different from the rest of the tune, sounds cool. Nice ambiance sounds. Break-beat part is nice but could be worked out better. The break is due to it's difference from the rest of the tune quite original.

Climax: The climax could be a bit pumped up, cause you hardly notice it. Climax it self is cool.

Outro: Is it only me but does the tune stops there in the middle of nowhere? Could be the streaming. If it's not have a second look at that.

All and all a cool production that needs to be worked out a bit more. Keep up the producing!!

-Peter

Thanks mate for the review. I appreciate it. The tune does not stop without reason Soundclick only allows around 10 mb to be put on the site so at 192 kpbs this means only the first 7 minutes can be showcased. But you are not missing a whole lot, just the boring trackpart meant for dj's to mix a new track into this one

Cheers!

Interesting phaser work on the percussion.

Bassline's kind of tripping me out.

There's one hat in the break that stands out too much, IMO. turn it down a bit or bring the rest of the break out so that the two blend better.

Listening now

Nice percs at the start.
The bassline is a bit loud - takes over the track - but the sound of it is nice - very trancy...just turn the volume down a bit.
Nice building of atmosphere ...melody is a nice change..kick is getting a bit lost around this stage...nice synths tho...breakdown right on cue breakdown sounds good..not sure about the transition into the main part...maybe a pause would sound better - but main melody is ok - overall good track.

hi nomen. ok was expecting good things from this after your last track so heres my feedback.

have to agree with what one of the other lads said that bass sound sounds dull and out of place, ya notice it even more after 2mins when the octaves change. i think you need to change it to something with a bit more colour and hi's in it.

synths are beautiful good work here
also your effects have improved alot also good transistions and ambients.

thought the break occurred a bit to sudden for my liking, liked the break section thou pads are nice with good stereo spread.

the climax when it kicks back in seems weak imo think you need to add some more percussion here or more dramatic transistion.

all in all i can see your imporovements but i still think its not a patch on your all hope is gone. meolodies just not as memorable that track

keep it up thou mate i'm sure plenty of labels will show an interest in this.

p.s. that soundclick site is it possible to download the tracks rather than just streaming wanna have your all hope is gone as an mp3

Thanks mate, I think you hit the nail right on the head and I agree with you that the melody is not as catchy but I felt like doing a bit more of a serious piece and try out new sounds
