Problem with sound coming out of CD deck

I just bought a Stanton S-450 cd deck but when im playing the cds the sound is really poor and distorded on it but when I move my crossfader over to the turntables its perfect. I have tryed all different cds and its still the same

Can anyone help?

On some mixers (like my behringer) you have to make sure you put in your cd decks/players into special "CD" inputs, if you just plug it into the "line" inputs it won't sound right. Hope that helps, might not be the case with your mixer though. Good luck.

i kind of have the same problem with my TT's. one sounds a little lower than the other in my headfones..then again im a noob and maybe it just sounds that way. any1 know what it could be?
