OMFG, we REALLY need to do something to curb the number of these questions. It's getting way out of hand - there've been like 10 threads within the past month about "how do I rip stuff from a track".

You DON'T, okay? That's the answer. You DON'T RIP OFF OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK.

Simple answer: You can't...

Advanced answer: You seriously can't.

I think it's the new wave. There has been popping up a lot of questions about this the last couple of weeks. You mods needs to make a sticky.

ok thanks for the help that's all i needed to hear. also:

1)I RESPECT other people's work and't i am not looking for an easy way
2)i don't expect to make killer tracks. i expect to entertaint my self and listen the music i am making off FOR myself. where is the bad about that?
3)i am kind of "new" on this shit so the next time i have a question i should ask god or find the answer by myself. is that ok?
4)i am not a genius and i don't want to be
5)You guys taking yourselfs to much seriously. and by the way if you don't like a post don't occypy with it or delete it if you are an admin.

on some remixes i heard, people have taken PARTS of the prototype track cause if you hear it(the prototype) you will see that there is no part of the song that you can hear only the voice for example...
an example:
grandmaster flash & the furious five-scorpio
grandmaster flash & the furious five-scorpio(plaid remix)
it's got to be a way you know...

Are you completely retarded? Legitimate remixers go to either the original label (if the track was released) or the original artist (if the track was not released) and PAY FOR the track parts and the license to use them. It's called "clearing" a sample. Sometimes they are generous enough to provide it for free with some other type of agreement (i.e. royalties, or exclusive rights to the completed remix). When you don't do this and try to "rip", it's called a bootleg.

The truth is you can.... but you need a clip of the track with the vocal and an identical piece without the vocal.

There is software available that can do it
It removes everything apart from the vocal by taking out the frequencies, but as you can imagine the result is not perfect.

The reason being that when it removes the track frequencies it also takes the same freqs away from the vocal.
