Roommates Can Be Such Bastards
Time for a little xanga/livejournal/bloggermcbloggerson moment. I've been waiting for weeks and weeks for somebody, ANYBODY, to restock the vinyl of Télépopmusik - Into Everything with The MFA remixes. dancerecords.com finally gets it in today. I put it and a few other records in my cart. But I'm one short of the ~5 I need to get free shipping.
So I head down to the local music store to pick up some CDs and try to think of a vinyl to buy. My friend at the music store has been trying to get ahold of a certain Mylo vinyl, and says he'll pay me if I pick it up for him from dancerecords.com. So I merrily purchase my CDs and head back home to add the Mylo record and finish my order.
But then my roommate fucks everything up. We have our internet set up through a wireless router. He has a desktop, and I have a laptop that I run on the wireless. Lately he's been playing Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour. For some reason if he's not directly connected to our cable modem, he gets booted from the game every ten minutes. So I come back and he's deep in the middle of a long game, and I'm fux0red for an internet connection. I ask him if it'll be long and he tells me "yeah." So 17:30 rolls around and I absolutely have to leave for work. Right as I'm about to leave he's like "I'm probably just gonna surrender, do you still need the internet?" Bollox.
So I go to work, hoping the record won't be sold out by the time I get home at 23:00-ish. I come back, and wouldn't you know it, the damn record is sold out.
