Favorite Days
Hi all, I was thinking today, what day is best fit to make music,is it better suited at night or during the afternoon ?
Do u like it when people are around giving there views on ur noise while you make ur noise or do u prefer nobody around ?
Ill go 1st my favorite days are Saturdays (Afternoon) Sundays (all day even during the night)
And yeah i do like people around not too much maybe 1 or 2 is enough.
Anyone want added something to this which day and time do u prefer making a noise.
Also list ur habbits if u want to.I know i turn up the bass to +18 db @ 80 Hz for no reason sometimes and my mother comes down with a heavy line like #RT$#%#$%$^ softer please, hahahaha
I get most of my inspiration not from behind the computer most of the time. Time of the day doesn't really matter mostly, though the evenings tend to speak more to me (less other things at hand perhaps).
My home family isn't much interested in what I am doing, so usually there's nobody around...

I'm pretty much the same, inspiration comes randomly when I'm NOT at the computer.. how do you manage to remember your ideas until you get back to it Wim? I always forget them.. (usually just before I fire up my software too)
I'm always most productive at around 10-11pm to 4-5am on evenings before big mid term or final exams when I should be studying, or when I have a big research paper due the next day but haven't started yet.

Sometimes I do forget them too... Probably sometimes best to hurry behind the screen and start playing

Yea, im like that as well. I am just at school thinking about it and when i get home, it's all gone . What helps sometimes is actually putting your pattern or melody on paper. Use your own method. I actually sometimes draw out (on regualr folder paper while at school in class not paying attention ) the sequencer/piano roll (yepp, i use FL Studio) bars and put fill in the blocks. once i get home and look at it, it helps me remember what i was thinking at the moment. One time i tried to do that for a pretty complex percussion beat with ideas that sprouted from who knows what. I got home, put everything thing in its place like how it was on paper...and then...i press played. sounded like crap. But from there, i changed some things around and fixed the not so good ideas i had earlier in the day when i wasn't on the comp into good ones when i can finally try them out. But, it's your call. Helps me remember some simple things. U should try it.
