dumb question

im sure this sounds real dumb, but bare with me, cz i own the dumbest mixer. numark cd mix 1. u gotta start somehow though.

my question is that on pro mixers(djm 600 for example), do the channel EQ only affect the output or do u also hear the EQ changes from the headphone? can u control the volume of a channel and u can hear the volume control form the headphones?

im sure yes is the answer but i want to make sure. my mixer doesnt have controls on each channel, just eq on output.

thanx.

I believe for the Pioneers and most other mixers, you do hear the EQ in the headphones while mixing, as well as the master output.

But... I also know that on the Xone:62 you dont hear the EQ in the headphones, nor do you hear the master.

there are also a few mixers out there that have a pre/post EQ monitoring switches (empath for example i think, could be wrong) its a nice feature.

Um no there's no switch but there is a way to hear it when you blend it with the effects on the mixer(not other equiptment the built in effects)

i don't know what i'd do without being able to hear the eq'ing in the headphones. i'm surprised a higher end mixer like the xone:62 doesn't have that.

And that's one thing they corrected withe the Xone:92. It has the most extensive cueing section of any other mixer.

Id kill to be able to have mid1 and mid2 on my x1500...i heard there was a way to mod what you want your EQ's to cut out and boost in PST settings in the denon though....though somehow i cant seem to find it when i used to be able to...

Weird.

Although remember if you're bringing a track in with the bass turned down it might be useful to have the eq not affecting what you hear in the headphones if you use the kick to make sure they're in time...

The Xone:92 has a "post eq" button for the cue section which basically switches between eq changes being heard and not being heard in the headphones... nice

There is also a huge price gap with the XONE:92 and DJM-600/XONE:62
