I want to be wowed by the sheer knowledgebase that is in these forums for EDM. So please provide me with your most interesting piece of EDM trivia (doesnt have to be trance based) or failing that, your most outlandish prediction or speculation. Facts about prodcuers or genres, rants, stories about Tiesto trainwrecks... I dont give a fuck, its all fair game.
Cmon give it me...

Ok ... In BT's Last Three Albums I Quote from the man himself "There's not an Extraneous Reverb Tail In My Music, There's Not a single ringing frequency below 150 hz on a single hi hat on any of my last three albums " ... DAMN ...
also some more interesting Facts on BT ...
Quoted from the man himself ... again ...
"I'll take a waveform and cut and place notes right on beat and stretch the note to get to the next note right on the following downbeat. I do this on every 16th note on every bar, on every track, on every song, and have been done for the last five years" ...
Jesus Christ ...
also Audio is more proficient than MIDI ... MIDI at the least possible instant is 100ms off from the corrected timeclock ... scientifically proven . Look it up .

Very Intresting indeed.. I do agree though.. BT is very anal about time correcting his music and it does sound dynamic and you can tell the difference on some occasions.
Another intresting fact about BT's production : While working on the track "Blue Skies" with Tori Amos.. the phrase Blue Skies in song "sung" by Tori was actually never sung by her. BT put the whole "Blue Skies" phrase together from bits and peices of Tori's words and phrases. Crazy stuff.

BT is a freak alright
OK, heres some facts about Above and Beyond.
Apparently the track Satellite was written by Paavo when his wife was working overseas in Japan. Satellite is also being used by the Spanish education board as an aid to teach school kids english. They get a cd with a bootleg version of it and a book with the words to read....
No One on Earth was written by Zoe Johnston and is about a woman who is abducted by aliens and ends up falling in love with one of them. Makes perfect sense when you listen to the lyrics.

The most extravagant thing James Zabiela has treated himself to are his Daleks. The blue one's called Del Boy and the black one's called JA Rule. He parks them in his car space as he doesn't have a car.
Sasha came up with the name, Airdrawndagger, from a reference from Shakespeare found on the internet. It's about a reocurring dream that a character keeps having that haunts him.

Paul van Dyk met his future wife Natascha for the first time @ loveparade 1993 and suddenly fell in love with her. He was so impressed, that in the next days after loveparade he wrote a special track in dedication to that girl. He put all his emotions and feelings into that track, what became probably his most intimate production ever.
That little song was released on his album 45 RPM under the name "For An Angel", re-released in 1998 with the massive E-Werk Club Mix, and became on of the biggest club-hits ever...
Love is stronger than everything...

Mark Spoon was a chef before he went on to become dj and I heard he was pretty damn good.
and the guitar in Jam & Spoon - Right in the night is actually played by Jam El Mar himself. Freggin nice =)
DJ Taucher was a profesional tank driver in the army before he started DJing.
oh The Digital Blonde produced with an old Atari with 4 mb ram just until last year when he bought himself a new Apple.
