LOL, am I really that much of an asshole? But yeah, I did pretty much answer that question in the n00b thread. This actually reminded me of one thing that needs to be added:
Don't request for people to e-mail you or give you their e-mail addresses. Aside from raising red flags for every spam-conscious member of the community, it's simply rude because it insinuates that your time is more important than everyone else's. Other people take the time to read this forum and provide free help/advice when possible; you can therefore take the time to check in periodically and read the responses.
P.S. Wouldn't it hurt more with a sharpened pencil??

. No disrespect meant here. I'd agree on the part about emailing although, its sometimes warranted, but I guess it should be left to PMs. Doing things by email is much worse for the foums because then no one knows waht anyone else said. Thats the whole idea of a FORUM; public discussions.
