Whether in the studio or on the decks, he is the best
Ferry Corsten.
Honestly I have seen all the top trance deejays in the world. Armin Van Buuren was here two weeks ago. It was the second time that I saw him. He just doesn't cut it for me. Too many breakdowns for a live set. I don't understand how he can suddenly switch between progressive to techy to epic trance. Some would consider this skill, but it's boring and it kills the mood on the dancefloor.
Tiesto, he's great live, his studio releases have been shit since his remix of Southern Sun.
Oakenfold, I don't pay to see trainwrecks and that's all I got from him.
Paul Van Dyk, all his tracks sound the same. It's like he uses the same bassline over and over. It worked the first time, it worked the second time, but by the third time it gets boring.
Ferry's productions have always been top-notch and when he played here live i was like this -->
He's also a really humble and great dj. Had the opportunity to pick him up from the airport and discuss trance with him. Those thirty minutes were pure bliss. Voters at Ibiza recently voted him the Number One DJ and hopefully people of TA and djmag do the same.
