Correcting sets using PC

Hey guys

It's been a while since I've been able to post here, working real hard and haven't had much time to spin... so i guess it makes sense that I'm trying to get a dj gig here in nyc

anyway, I have a recent set that I have finally deemed demo-worthy except for like 4 second when two tracks are a tiny bit off... is there any way to smooth this over with a PC program like protools? Could one of you guys out there possibly correct the set for me?

Thanks!!!

It's possible, but i'm sure it would sound like taking a knife and shoving it as hard as possible into your ear.

get track a beatmatched with track a on your mix, then re do the mix completely, then copy paste and put it in acid. its a long shot, but if ur really paranoid about it...

you could put the recorded set onto a cd....play it back, re-record it and then just mix into the set before the fuck up comes along and re record the remaining part of the set....I had to do that recently after a set was interrupted by annoying AIM sounds coming from the channel that my computer is hooked up to.

bah, if you can send it to me, i'll take it to work and slice and dice and have you a polished cd in no time

but keep in mind, a producer cannot make a crappy dj sound good, only make a good dj sound great

to blatantly put it in other words... if you suck, i can't fix that, but if it's just a slight galloping for a couple seconds and it's corrected timely, i think i might be able to fix it
it will have to depend on a few things, chance it can't happen, but it's doable

A little while ago a few friends asked me for a mix and it was good but their was one or two very noticable mess ups, since i was currently too lazy to make another one that night. I just did some slicing and dicing then viola, you never new i did the slightest mistake

Editing demos in post is almost as bad as using Traktor/Ableton etc. and telling people you actually "spun" the set live on decks...

My advice: Practice, and spin something you can be proud of all the way through...

I can't say I approve of your arrogant and overly opiniated point of views since you've joined this forum.

While ethically editing a set is certainly debatable from a technical point of view it is very easy to do and do it well.
