I am a big fan of Pioneers DJM 600 mixer, imo the best four channel mixer you can get.

I am planning to get a new four cahnnel mixer soon, but since 600 is getting pretty old now i was wondering if anyone have heard any loose roumers about a new pioneer mixer that will replace it?

I have looked at the new DJM 909 and it looks awsome! My hope is that they will make a simalar four channel mixer.

And btw, if anyone would recommend another four channel mixer, please post it here!

Haven't the Xone 62, 92, V6, and the DJM 1000 already done this? (Began to replace the DJM 600, for all practical purposes.)

Edit: OK, maybe the V6 is a bit much, but the others...

For big clubs yeah, but for the price's i would realy consider Nuo5 or
even Denon DN-X1500..

I think the nuo5 and the xone 92 are beginning to spread very fast.
the nuo as replacementent for the djm6/500 series and the xone just as a superb mixer...

i have a djm600 not bad mixer, but when i get enough money for sure i will be switching to a xone92

DJM 800 I belive or its the 700 I think its being released/debute in WMC 2006

DJM 600 is great but getting a little outdated.

I too am waiting for the next 4 channel Pioneer mixer. In my opinion no other mixer matched its great layout and very usefull feature set. I loved mine very much, but the sound quality wasn't the best so I replaced it with a 3 channel Rane Empath. I really miss it, especially the onboard effects which I liked way better then efx-500's, UV meters for every channel, great cue system, large knobs, and much more. It's basically all you need in one, very convenient and easy to use package.

Rane has amazing sound quality and faders, but everything else I prefered on my DJM-600.

Ecler NUO doesn't look too bad, but channels 2 & 3 are not crossfader assignable, it doesn't have UV meters for each channel, and I am not crazy about those effects.

I am not a fan of A&H mixers either. I find their cue system and EQs awkward and crossfaders useless for scratching.

Denon 4 channel mixers are complete crap.

I am hoping Pioneer has a good DJM-600 successor on the horizon with onboard effects. Untill then, I am keeping my Rane Empath.

Without having tried it, A&H Xone 92 has impressed me with good looks and lots of features. Is there someone here that have some experice with it? I would like to read a first hand review instead of what all the webshops write.

I agree with you abnorm, the 600 has a superiour layout. A minimum (at least for me) is uv for all channels. If Pioneer crossed the 600 and the 909 i would be first in line to buy it.

Another feature i've been missing is a small light on the eq knobs, so you can see their position in the dark. Or even better, a ring of light around them with a black spot at the knob's position. Looks like A&H is the only ones that have realized that many clubs have dark dj booths, judging by the illumination features of Xone 92.

I have a NUO 4 and all the channels are cross fader assignable. Perhaps the nuo 5 is different? I know for sure I can assign every one of the 4 channels to the xfader and adjust all the fader curves too.

Yes, that only true for NUO 5. How do you like yours?

I personally find that between the NUO5 and the DJM-600, the NUO wins, hands down. They are both pretty much the same price, but the NUO5 features better sound quality, better faders, nice, big EQ knobs (with FULL kill, I might add), better sounding effects that are *reprogrammable* and a MIDI output.

The NUO5 does lack VU meters on each channel (something I dont care about, but it is important for some people), a sampler (again, fun to use sometimes, but not important for me), and doesnt have a fully assingable x-fader (once again, I dont care, as I use the upfaders mostly, but for a lot of people, its important).

Failsafe...the NUO5 doesnt not have a fully assignable x-fader, only channels 1,4,5 are assignable. They built it as more of a scratch/hybrid mixer, so they left 2 channels assigned to the x-fader permanently.
