Is this mixer worth buying? On paper the spec is really good, but I know it doesn't work like that..

As it is a fairly new mixer I haven't had much luck finding any reviews of it, just wondering if anyone out there has had the opportunity to play with one, and if so, what did you think of it?

If somebody handed me one of these. The first thing I would do is take a soldering iron to the plastic crossfader knob and make it a NORMAL RECTANGULAR SHAPE, INSTEAD OF TRIANGULAR POS!

What dumbass at stanton thought of making such a horrible crossfader knob.

I've had pretty good experiences with mine, don't know what these knobs are bitching about.

I dont see whats so wrong with that. Its just shaped so its easier to hold between two fingers, if it was a real problem you could always juz change them but i cant see it as a reason not to buy this mixer.

I don't use the crossfader so that doesn't bother me.

I was mainly wondering about the sound quality, in relation to say something like PCV 275.

I believe stanton was always more towards scratch mixers. I don't know when and why they changed.

Probably looking for a biger market.
Although Numark seemed to have cleaned up their act abit with their new line... I learned that the only reason there products had good reviews where due to the fact that no one had owned the products long enough to realy test durability. At first the DXM range was said to be great but now you will find plenty are complaining about it after about 1 year of use.
So if your looking for something safe its always good to stick with the tried and tested or atleast a company know for its supirior quality eg. If Allen & Heath built a new mixer most chances are that it will be a top-quality mixer because they only focus on top-end mixers.
