I use SSL and have been able to record by running the rec out to line in on my computer (a powerbook). The problem is the display in SSL does not update very smoothly due to the increased processing load, however I didn't have any dropouts or problems with the recording. Its not an approach I would recommend, especially in a gig. To record my sets I use a long-playing minidisc in the club which lasts for about 4hrs. I doubt the SSL interface would be recognised, and even if it was, only one program would have access to it at any time (obviously SSL). Apparently version 1.5 has looping and an optional horizontal waveform, which I guess FS converts and scratch DJs will find handy, although I prefer the vertical ones. There is also a record option that allows you to rip your vinyl into CD quality sound directly from SSL, however I can't see how this would work to record a set when both of the input lines would be used by the control signal coming from the turntables.
