A new Super Mario Kart is being released on the Nintendo DS in November worldwide. It's really anticipated, especially by us who grew up with the original Mario Kart on the SNES and those who enjoyed the later installments on N64, GBA and GC. The biggest news in this installment is that it's taking Mario Kart online with the Nintendo DS built-in wi-fi function!
Be sure to check out the movies down below.
Here's a bit of information about the game:
1-4 players online (internetplay)
Option to race against humans and CPU's (bots) simultaneously online
Create your own decals/logos and screename which your opponents can see during the race
Chat (if it's voice- or textbased hasn't been confirmed yet)
All the best tracks from every single Mario Kart game (SNES, N64, GBA, GC) and a whole lot of new ones, over 30 tracks in total!
Smooth and fast gameplay which clocks at 60 fps!
Lot's of both old and new characters and carts
New game modes, like Mission Run and Collect Shine
Share a single game cartridge with up to 8 people and play ad-hoc (wireless) with each other!
Different systems for internetplayers, global, continental, friends and rivals
A pointsystem which (if you want to) can choose opponents with the same skill level as you from the whole world
New weapons! For example the white squid from Super Mario Bros 1 which squirts ink all over your screen for a period of time

I'll continue playing GTA: Liberty City Stories on my PSP I think...
Agreed...
However, I still love the original Mario Kart. I'd try this one if I had a DS.

Doesn't look too much different than the GBA version released a few years back. Sure there are a few added features, but that doesn't warrant another $30-50 from me.

My gosh Mario Kart.... It goes a pretty long ways back eh? Super Nintendo's Mario Kart is still I think by far the best. When it first came out I was HOOKED. Mario Kart 64 is really good too, double dash is alright. But, I don't have a DS so I'll have to ask a friend of mine to lend me theirs for a few minutes if they decide to buy this. All Mario Kart is worth trying out!

Much like the GTA:LCS hasn't changed alot from it's previous predecessors, am I right?

I think this has circuits from Double Dash. Are there any tracks from other Mario Kart games?
