nothing worth it?!

ok, so it's been a while now where i've been in the need of a good video game. and i'm not talking about only good. i'm talking about great. amazing. something like san andreas, or ff7 good.
and what i've found, is that nothing has scratched my itch.
are the systems in a temporary death stage?

and will the 360 and PS3 hopefully bring about some new incredible games?
i certainly hope so. both 360 and PS3 look like they have ridiculous graphics, but the games better be good enough to make me consider getting one of them...especially with that hefty price tag...

The most amazing games of our time were released between the years of 1985 and 1995, in my opinion.

Head on back and play all those ridiculously hard Nintendo games. Plus, the old RPG's rule.

Otherwise, if you're interested in last gen (since the 360 is out, I consider last generation systems to consist of PS2, GCN, and the X-BOX), I suggest looking into the Prince of Persia series (especially Sands of Time) as well as the Halo or Timesplitters series. The Dragon Quest games are also fantastic. If those don't do you, pick up Katamari Damacy or its sequel. Or how about the Metroid Prime series on Gamecube? Not to mention Resident Evil 4. And let's not forget God of War or the Devil May Cry series. If you're looking for something more of a simulation, look no further than Guitar Hero or the Burnout series.

There are tons of amazing games out there. You just have to go out and experiment, as odd as that sounds.

Resident Evil 4 is legendary, really brought that series back to life. I bought a Gamecube for it and I own it for the PS2 also.
