i'm curently working on basslines but unfortunatly i have some cheep gemini headphones (the djx-1) and no speakers so it may sound ok in my cans but could sound realy bad on different setups.i was wondering if you could listen to this sample and let me know what you think of it. soundwize.
It almost sounds a little too compressed. You can't really make great tunes on headphones although it's been done. I really can't hear the bassline too well. I know it's like around the C3 range, but I can't hear the moving bassline you've tried to create.

bassline sounds more distinct but could use some boosting. If you added any other instuments...i'm sure the sound will be muffled. Maybe boost some mids

It's fine in the mid-range most of the problem is that your low-end is too muddy, which is a common problem when producing with headphones. I'd tighten up the decays on your bass and kick. But that may just be me; I like really staccato basslines.
Your bass sound is tooooo weak. You can barely hear it. I suggest either making the channel louder, using a different bass sound, or layering your bass sounds to get a deeper sounding bass. As of right now, you can barely tell it's in the mix.
