As far as what I do to cope? I usually still go to work unless my doctor (or mommy) instruct me NOT to. I always feel so guilty. For my fellow workers and also myself. All I can think of is what I COULD be doing at work, or how much is going to be waiting for me when I get back. So yeah, I hardly EVER call in sick.

Then again, I've never had an earache like you say you have and I hear they are real bitches. So, you do whatever you need to do to feel better!

Most important thing is to take care of YOURSELF. I know, I should take my own advice sometimes.
