I disagree with clubkilla on the lead. Atonality is nothing undesirable in psytrance.

You could use panning to a much trippier extent. For instance with the snare at 0:56, make the compression release sweep across the panning field. Really try to play around with panning, and use the full extent of the panning knob.

Also consider a wide variety of effects. Various distortion effects work well in psy, as does lots of acid. I personally would put a 303-ish rhythm in there.

I like what I hear so far, though. A little old school psy sounding, I'd say. Keep it up.

I like what you got going. I like the lead that comes in at the end there. I agree, maybe pop in a 303 lead that plays with the one you got going

hey no offence dude, but it sounds like shit so far
you should work on your kick, that is progressive trance kick
your bass should stand out more too

improve me wrong and finish it, so there would be at least "something" to judge

you cant make psy without listening to it first, get some new psy albums, talk to cybernetika..
psy trance is the hardest to make out of all genres, i believe your backround is progressive trance, so maybe you should go in that direction? read some audio e-books, remember its how detailed your tune is what determines whether its good or bad, how many hours you spent making it, i could make something like this in 5 min, so you gotta think about that. i remember 2 years ago i was making cheezy sounds like these, look at me now, practice makes it perfect m8, what are you using for your production anyways? glad to hear you started to make your own tracks.

reason rules, but took me at least a year to really understand how it works and be able to succesfully use 97% of its resources.

another thing, you said that you just started, so i wonder if you know certain concepts , the "box", ambience, frequencies, dry/wet, db, compression etc.

literature and music is a fine combination, there is no magic button and its a lot of hard work, i never met anyone who was writing music without knowing those concepts i've mentioned above. Writing music is a science, i personally look at it as Chemistry or Biology even.

and yeah, i like to say what i think, so if i offended you, its life m8

yup, reason is a great piece of software.

even though so many people around here are saing it's too hard for beginers i think i'm getting the hang of it, but i have a lot to learn.

don't worry about offending me. i appreciate when people are saying what they realy think. i know that i suck compared to most producers here but everybody gotta start somewhere, right? u've been producing for two years, it's been like two months for me, so i gues that's kinda normal.
