haha, no but seriously, you could talk about bpm and how it differs from different genres (house is slower, dnb faster, etc). also, the main thing that comes to my mind when talking about trance is the melodic aspect of it. airey breakdowns, buildups, stuff that more mainstream songs lack...hope this helps a little!
