WIkipedia FTW!
So I'm currently studying for finals, and I just got done going through my two history books, basically re-reading, and re-organizing the ID's into what are basically short paragraphs I can read over the next few days to re-inforce key points from each area without digging through notes or books (kinda like flash cards, but on my computer).
So I finish up the ID sheet, and decide, "hmmmmm... If I Wiki this stuff, not only will I have other summaries to compare them too, but I could also pick up extra shit to use in my essays and maybe look smarter than I actually am!"
So I start checkin' things out and holy shit... I never knew Wiki was really this well done! For the most part, my summaries reflected main points, but the linking in the Wiki pages really helped me understand the connections between events, people, and ideas a ton better.
I'm certainly not solely relying on Wiki information, but damn, I went through a whole semester without seeing a lot of the connections between certain events (i.e. War for Austrian Succession/7 Years War issues, and a better understanding of changing political alliances in the 17, 18, and 19th centuries) to the point where I'm really feeling quite confident about this exam...
Wikipedia, FTW....
Edit: And I also find it entertaining to just Wiki random shit and see what they have on it...
