[Prog House] esque MIDI Class final project (submitted versoin :) )
Hey, guys some of you wanted to hear the final project I was submitting and here it is. It's just under 2 minutes, it wasn't supposed to be longer though i'll work on it myself till it's "complete"
i like the atmospheric synths you use. very retro throughout.
i can imagine this being played nice and bassy in a cool bar.
nice reverb on the snare @ 0;35
i enjoyed this one.

ps. have a listen to my thread and tell me what you think if you have time..

I pretty much agree with Rich's post. The retro is kinda cool. Nice atmospheric pads. Track is very minimalist and chill, just something kinda groovy to chill out to.
Good job and hope you get a good grade on your final.
Would appreciate a listen & review of my track here. Thanks!

thanks alot, really added something to my confidence in it now
very cool. I could see the track staying mellow or developing into a harder trance too. I like the drop thing and then the little rhythm starts 30-34 sec. I'd like to hear the end if it happens.

buzump. so i uploaded the version i actually submitted to my prof and got a 50 out of 50. I think it was also me and another kid who got a perfect grade. My prof was actually amazed since I did very little work all semester and woke up at the end and made use of only 2 synth modules and a korg workstation. it's only about 2 minutes long but it wasn't supposed to be longer. I am actually pretty confident in the little skill and knowledge i have thus far so i'ma be working away to actually finish this. ta !

yo yo. sounds loungy and serene, i like those atmospheric pads too, although i'd consider variegating the bassline...after a while it tends to sound a bit tedious, perhaps alter it with a different set of drums or at least a different pattern? on the whole, sounds good and promising so far, will like to hear the final result. good luck and have fun!
