right mate.
firstly get some decent earplugs asap!
second. i know what you mean. i have the same problem. it happened to me after firing a gun without using hearing protection..
you maybe one of these rare people who suffer from a condition known as 'hyperacusis'. search it on google..
i am sure its what i now suffer from. i dont want to go saying i know loads about it because its a very misunderstood condition... different people say different things..
its pretty much a hyper sensitivity to loud noise brought on from either sensitive ears, continued hearing damage or sometimes people are born with it.
from what ive read it is adviseable to use protection because loud noise just makes it worse.
my design tech teacher had it in college aswell..
i have just started using er-20 plugs and they make mixing in loud spaces a lot easier.
do some research. the doctors dont even know much about it because they said my hearing was fine. the hearing expert said otherwise but also said he didnt know much about hyperacusis.
if you think you do have it then dont worry yourself! loads of people have it and dont even know. your ears will get more accustomed to loud noise but only if you protect them and dont give em the abuse you have been! 8 hours is a long time..
