my computer died a week ago, and i havn't had time to look at it until today.

so i grabbed a spare psu(power supply) i found lying around and pluged it into the mofoboard, jsut to see if it would start.


it started..but i forgot to power my video card, so smoke started pouring out of the poor bastard and i was like OH NOES! BBQ!

so i powerd down and thankfully, all is well. my room smells like burning though..but i kinda like it ;o

I still remember when my old monitor blew up. The screen went all wonky like I was on acid..then it just went blank and smoke started coming out of the back.

Good times.

It's always funny when someone is fiddling with something, and the thing starts smoking/catches fire/explodes. My dad used to tinker with electronics all the time, and whenever an amplifier or radio or whatever he was messing with started to smoke I always laughed at him. I guess what gets me is the whole "I guess they don't really know what the fuck they're doing after all." aspect of it.
