Nebula Runner [Grungy Epic] - 128 kbps - WORK IN PROGRESS

Greetings,

I created this today, and I'm hoping I'm on to somethin'.

NEBULA RUNNER

I wanted your opinion on how it's turning out thus far.

I always experiment too much with the genre. I used 9 to 10 bars instead of the traditional 8 bars for a trance layer.

After a few hours of non-stop work on this... the only thing I'm proud of so far is the buildup to the bass at the minute mark. I dunno... I'm kinda fatigued today for some reason. The dynamics seem to fall apart at the breakdown, and I need to relocate. If nothing else, comment on the buildup.

Also, maybe it's just the length of time my ears have been couped up, but the bass seems wear out after a while.

I almost think I should change the melodies entirely, and rework everything on a standard 8-bar.

Hey,

With the intro for the first few seconds I think you could it build into something a bit more then enter a small quiet part then pound in the beat. Maybe 20 seconds but thats personal taste really. The buildup works fine to me just the melody sounds a bit on the weak, familiar sounding side. Maybe try something with a more memorable sound. Something more attention grabbing, its nice as it is but doesnt have that factor.

The break as well I see no problems with that. So i'm not really too much help with what you want comments on but seems fine to me. Good track you've got on your hands mate, keep it up. Hope somebody can help you out more on the buildup.

Hey mate,
I'm as always commenting as I listen...

Nice intro with some good pads. Sounds promising.
The flanger on the hihats gets a little too heavy. Maybe make it less obvious (more dry, less wet).
Some extremely cool FX, nice job!
That's what I call a great buildup of melodies! Slowly the tension rises and the atmosphere is great.
Long breakdown, fine. I'm not such a big fan of those but I'll shut up. :P
The strings are a little droning. That might be intended, but I think it is a little disturbing. Maybe you can fix this.
Otherwise, a really good track. The production could always be clearer, but I think its very good already, you have made some big progress with it. The very subtle bits of melody are really a strength of this tune. It doesnt have a lead dominating the hell out of the rest, and I really like that.

Good job, keep it up!
