I already told you.

Read the stickies.

They have every single bit of information on this topic you might need.

That is why they say "Please read" and are permanently stuck on the top of this forum.

Normally I would help you, but if your not gonna use the stickies or the search tool, then I think you should improve your research skills before you even think about producing.

Hi there.
There are many options for producing trance.
In the hardware world the (subjectively) ''best'' synthesizer for trance would be a virus TI synth.
Unfortunately the do cost a lot of money (2000$ new)
They are a complete solution for people who want a hi quality synth/ a soundcard and a midi keyboard but don't require a lot of in/out conectivity for a lot of gear.

Alternatively if you can't afford that you can check out older used models on ebay like the virus, virus b or the virus C.Those are great value because unlike software they don't lose their value. You can resell. They are well worth the money and they (subjectively) sound much better than software due to their onboard dsp processing.

The classic standard drum machine for trance is the roland tr-909.
They are rediculusly overpriced because they are discontinued since the 80's and they don't even have midi making it them a bitch to sync with a computer.
Alternatively you can just use a software drum machine and load samples of the original 909. Much cheaper. If you have to have an external tweakable source you can pick up a discontinued novation drumstation wich emulated the 909 and the 808 with analog modeling synthesis and samples. They are well respected pieces of hardware.

----------------------------------
Check out the computer music tutorial on the stickies and go to the propellerheads website and download the reason demo. Follow the computer music tutorial there and you will have a good understanding of what goes into creating a trance track.

Also for further information check out the ''dance music manual'' book and the ''trance experience cd-rom/book'' These sources will give you the necessary information to get you started with producing but the real knowledge comes with experimentation. Good luck.

I have heard that the new Nexus from ReFX is pretty decent.. I think its overhyped but Ive not experienced such a huge crowd of fanboys for a softsynth before.

909 Has midi, the 808 does not (Uses din sync)
