Hey buddy, you said "There's a really great DJ in Finland (Proteus) who plays the hardest trance/nunrg I have ever heard; totally mindblowing starting at 180bpm."
Any chance you've got some mixes or a pointer as to where I/we can sample some?
Melodic trance is all good and stuff but prolonged listening gets you, er, all tranced out :P Certain situation calls for some harder stuff and I don't want to fall back to hardcore again lol.
thanx.

Sorry!! This isn't mindbender but I just wanna say I feel the same way, as much as I LOVE melodic and epic trance, I like to balance it out with harder stuff like hard house and hard trance.. so mindmender I'm eager to hear about proteus as well!

Unfortunately I don't have his sets in mp3-format (YET!), but there's going to be a clubnight next Wednesday. I'll go talk to the guy and see if he could get me some material on CD and stuff so I could post it here for you guys.
DJ Neon plays also hard trance at the same club and they sound really awesome together.
Anyway, enough of the babble; I try to arrange some material for you.

Ja Furee, you know what I mean hehe.. I think it's pretty common amongst trancers.
Hey Thanks Mindbender! If you can get your paws on some live mixes... drooool (like Homer Simpsons). Just looked at the top 10 chart, lol, never heard of any of 'em. It looks mostly German/Scandanavian stuff. I might have some stuff you're interested in, just ask..
P.S. Reason why I ask is besides the eye-catching 180bpm (for trance!), I'd like to expand my horizon listening to local DJs around the world. Big names sound the same after a while :P (duck).
PLUR, indeed.

Ummm methinks that this type of music is called (or at least very similair to) trancecore...
And excellent cd of this stuff is called Brainstorm, a double cd set by sharkey and mark eg.... I don't think its quite 180bpm, but its close
If anyone wants it, drop me a msg on icq at 26849226
If anyone else has any sets/singles of this that'd be great!
