Greatest NHL goals

I'm sure everyone has seen that insane Ovechkin goal from the other night. There's already debate about it being one of the greatest ever. It may have been a totally sick play, but it was still a fluke. So just for the hell of it, I thought I would post a goal that I think is better than Ovechkin's.

Here's Pavel Datsyuk with one of the best breakaway moves ever (from last season): Datsyuk Breakaway

It's a nice goal but Ovechkin's goal is just out of this world. Spezzas goal against the Habs earlier this season is just brutal as well...

Are you talking about the guy from the Rangers who did that between the legs shot during a shootout this year? Because that goal was unreal.

Ovechkin's goal were just luck, no special skills there but Malik's was awasome, but if you gonna go after , skills, techniq and such stuff then Datsyuk's goal beats Ovechkin & Malik's, atleast thats my opinion with 15 years of playling icehockey

Yes exactly! Ovechkin's goal might've been more spectacular, but it was still a fluke. Goals like that (and others where you see some guy deke out 4 guys) may look nice, but anyone who plays hockey knows that it's all just reflexes kicking in, keeping the puck away from people. The reason I like Datsyuk's (and Malik's) more is because they had the time to think about what they were going to do, and it worked very well.

Anyone else care to post some sweet goals?

Malik's has been done before, but I haven't seen Datsyuk's goal been duplicated by anyone. Ovechkin (or anyone else) won't be able to pull off that move again even if they tried.

The best goal I've ever seen in a game wasn't in the NHL. It was the kid from the Michigan who was behind the net and flicked the puck up onto his stick and just lifted it into the goal. Crosby did something similar too when he was playing in the juniors I think.
