I want to shoot myself for starting another political thread, but this is too funny (also enraging)
This morning in the Central Nova riding (New Glasgow, NS - where I grew up and where my family lives!) a voter cast his ballot, then stole the ballot box and proceeded to run over it several times with his car in the parking lot!
Now - would all of those votes be spoiled?
Also interesting is that this is Conservative Peter McKay's riding, the guy who got his heart stomped on by Belinda Stronach.

that's just bizarre (funny and terrible too, I agree).
jeez, just cast your vote like everyone else and be done with it, lol.
you crazy maritimers!!!
I'm not sure what would happen...presumably if election officials witnessed the whole thing and could verify that there was no reasonable chance the ballots themselves were tampered with, illegible, etc. they could still use them?
weird...

there's millions cracked out voting stories like that... honestly I think I've heard that exact same one before, and from the east coast. hahah Are you sure it was today Sarah?
I think we may need to organize a TA collection to help bail Sarah's uncle out of jail

no no, the one I remember from the east coast involved some dude stealing the box and throwing into a ditch. BAHAHA awesome. And yes all the ballots become null & void. The constituents can however vote again.
(you don't need me telling you that the election is decided in Toronto anyways, ahah so the whole thing doesn't really matter)
