Cutoff Freq. on various synths - no standard?

I already have the Access Virus and some Yamaha synths.
Cutoff Controller on my Yamaha synths is Midi CC 74.
I think of buying V-Station and Vanguard? Do they have also Midi CC74? I have lots of midi patterns having complex automation sequences with controller 74? Do V-Station and Vanguard have Filter Cutoff also on 74? And if not, is there any way to convert my CC 74 patterns on another Midi CC, let's say 40?

I hope you understand what I mean...

typically no, you cannot change what your VST has for CC assignments. many sequencers have asked 3rd part VST companies to come to an agreement on numbers but with so many companies in different countries there is no industry standard.

i know ableton can key assign and you can record automation but as far as envelope control, no.

If you are using a halfway respectable sequencer you should be very easily be able to remap the controller data from one to the other. The iss ue you'll hit is the response of the filter on one syth wil varry compared to another... Then you need to get into logical editing of your controllerdata to stick in an offset..

Count yourself lucky you don't have to deal with Sys-EX for filter cutoff..
