CPU usage 100% while watching videos in browser

I know theres alot of computer savy people on this forum, so I'm posting another computer question in here.

I'm having a problem with my computer. When I watch a video in firefox or IE, from a site like google videos, my CPU usage goes up to like 100%, and then its all choppy. Its never done this before until about a week ago.

I've done every virus scan, spyware, and so many friggin things, trust me, i've done it, and I dont have a virus or anything like that. I've used about 10 different programs for so many things, found a few things, got them off, and thats that.

I've used:

- Ccleaner
- Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
- Ad-Aware SE
- Spybot Search & Destroy
- Microsoft Antispyware
- AVG
- NOD32
- CWShredder
- Kill2Me
- Bitdefender
and PandaActiveScan

anything that was found, was deleted and is now gone, and basically there was not much found in the first place.

Anyone have any ideas?

1. Reboot.
2. Reinstall.
3. Reformat.

(The 2HP.ca Radio filestore is having #3 done right now).

I love flattening and reinstalling everything.

In fact, my Athlon64 box needs that right about now. It's been a while.

Firefox has a memory leak. It's well known and will be fixed in the near future.

I had no idea about this until I read about it actually just last week. Having lots of RAM makes you forget things

Reformatting is such a pain in the ass... but worth it if you're having all sorts of random issues that you can't figure out.

Mine needs one too soon ...
