[Chillout] Conjure One - Face the Music (Near-Future Mix)

So, I finished this track a little while ago and I've got some good reviews on it. It's a remix made from the samples given away by the acidplanet remix contest, and it's the first multi-minute song I've finished. It's mostly chillout or ambient, I guess, so please give it a listen and give me feedback. I did a bit of mastering, but my ears aren't finely tuned enough to hear the real problems with it, most likely.

Conjure One - Face the Music (Near-Future Mix) 192kbps, 7.77mb.

Hey man..im listening to this. I dont like percussion..like to me they sound wierd. And like the main kick seems like its drowning out the entire track. The intro to the break/chorus ..could add some more elements to keep the listener listening. It's interesting..but not my cup of tea. By the way what program are you using?

Thanks for checking it out. I completely agree with you about the kick, I have no fixed that and a new version has been uploaded. I did this in FL Studio 5, which I'm finally getting the hang of.

not bad. not a big fan of chillout...the stuff i do like, i'm very picky about.

i have FLStudio 4, and...well...there's something about FL i just don't like...it's not that hard to use, but...just something about it...i can always spot when someone writes something in FL.

That "intuition" can probably be explained this way:

1) FL Studio is cheap/readily available
2) It is a relatively easy tool to learn with for beginner, amateur composers
3) Said beginner, amateur composers release tunes
4) Said tunes are amateur and have that amateur sound to them
5) Therefore, FL Studio is associated with said amateur sound

Still, thanks for the comment!
