um...when you brought back the PS2, did they not process a credit to your Visa on the spot and give you a copy???

you're kind of screwed...you can raise some hell...complain to Blockbuster head office, speak to a manager at your card issuer, threaten to cancel the card, etc.

if you feel like spending a few bucks, a lawyer's letter usually does the trick...dunno what a lawyer, if you have one, will charge for that though.

jeez...you get into the most fucked up situations, don't you?

Go above the store managers head and call the head office. Don't stop calling them until you get your money and/or PS2 back.

As a former employee of Blockbuster, I am REALLY surprised that the store manager did not look into this.

Next time you are in the store, there should be a board hanging up behind the front counter (with rental prices and shit). On that board there should be a phone # for the store's district manager. Call them up and bitch bitch bitch.

Getting stuff done at Blockbuster is a matter of bitching up the food chain.

Also: do you know if you purchased/refunded as a non-member, or under your rental account? Rental accounts keep the full transaction history in the computer and you can request to see it any time. Either way, ALL REFUNDS should be accompanied by the original receipts, and kept with the store's files. Like I said, it's time to bitch out the district leader.

If you want, I can call up my old store (whom I am still friendly with) and get some more ideas.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and said that the settlement i'm looking for is an Xbox 360. I justified that by saying that the PS2 was the top-of-the-line console when the purchase was made, so for wasting three months of my time, it's only logical that they replace it with the current top-of-the-line console.
