hm, not a bad interview. i'm surprised newsweek interviewed him in the first place.

You know, I’d really rather not talk about drugs at all, especially not to NEWSWEEK. I think it’s a really, really touchy subject. I think everyone has personal opinions about it, and it’s just not really somewhere I feel comfortable talking about. I just think the way it looks on paper, it never reads well.
excellent response, imo

Clearly to prevent the sensitive masses of middle America from reacting too strongly!

Yeah, exactly why this one didn't reach print, Sasha.
Oh well, I at least commend a publication as vanilla as Newsweek for putting this on their website. That's good enough considering how unambitious they are.

The best part about this line is that he fucking cuts the chick off. Here's a guy who knows how to handle interviewers. Sometimes they just need to be slapped like that.

Like I said...Powned.
She was slowly working him towards that, and only that side of the story, and he was like uh, no.

Boring interview. Sounds like he did not want to do this in the first place and the only reason he did it is because his publicist set this up to promote the new DVD.
Nothing to see here folks, move along!!!!

I think it was a rough interview moreso because of the interviewer and not the interviewee... The questions were poorly written, she obviously didn't have an intimate knowledge ofher subject, and she was definitely trying to steer Sasha into talking about things that no musician should be talking to newsweek about...

I say this was well played by Sasha...
I think she knew what she was talking about, she even asked a question about Twilo. Perhaps she figured the drug questions were necessary for her story because they are a part of the culture, or perhaps her editor made her ask those questions.

I'm sure someone at Newsweek figured if they could get Sasha (big DJ) to talk about drugs, the story would be more interesting to more people.
Plus the fact that IN THE VIDEO he's fucked up half the time...maybe had something to do with it...rofl.

Yeah, basically. She didn't know her shit and he knew it. You know your interview's gone bad when you have to ask the person you're interviewing whether or not they like interviews.
