For as long as I can remember I've had plans to move out of the Washington, D.C. area. I've lived in the area my whole life and even went to an area college. I never liked it here in the mini-van capital of the world. Though I will admit I have had a lot more fun than usual since I graduated, moved closer to the city, and partied there practically every night.

It was a choice between SF or LA and I chose SF. I've been putting the wheels in motion these past few months. I told friends & family I was leaving, told my roommates and started looking for a replacement. Just today I gave my work notice that this will be my last month.

No I don't have a job waiting for me. No I don't have a specific place lined up to move into. I do have an old college friend and a cousin living there so I'll probably crash with one of them until I find somewhere of my own.

Any way, the decision is pretty much set now. Everything goes to plan, about the middle of next month I'll be in a new city. Funny thing about making a dive like this is it makes you feel like you're doing something with your life.
