Need breakbeat help

I wanna remix an acoustic track thats bpm is 80 and I know a breakbeat would work perfectly but what bpm should the breakbeat be?

I think breakbeats generally range from 115 to 135 (sometimes 140)

not sure though

anyway I guess that with a lil extracare on chopping you can do breakbeat track at any desired bpm

It should be at whatever you decide it to be. Just do the mix and don't worry so much about the bpm.

well if your going to leave the track untouched(not timestretch it) then it would be 160 bpm(80x2)what you will have to do is either slow the track down to about 65bpm's so you can use a 130bpm breakbeat...or you could do what was mentioned in the previous posts and timstretch the track to make it faster.

You could aslo change the tempo of the track by slicing it up and creating a new tempo.
