I think you mean Eccentricity.

You could use more layers. It's a really basic track right now. Very standard, ASOT sounds. Let's see some originality in synth programming.

Also, tone down that stupid hiss on your lead. I've always hated that sound.

thanks for correcting the song title...
do you mean more layers to the lead? what sound would you wanna achieve from layering?
the hiss that you meant should be from the supersaw pad that i put alongside with the lead. i'll keep in mind and lower it abit. thanks for the tips.

What I'm saying is, you have hats, a kick, a snare drum, a bass, a lead, a monophonic pad. This is all as far as I can tell. All the bare essentials, but trance is about more than that. You need more percussion than just hats, snare and kick. Try bongos, shakers, tambourines, claves. Anything is fair game, as long as it fits with the song. There's also something to be said for things like harmony and counterpoint. Have two leads in contrast, have your pad play chords. Try adding some acid (this is trance, after all), or some other mid-range bass. Every element you add is another layer, and the art of trance production is including the most layers while maintaining coherency. Anyone with the right tools and equipment, mixing tutorials and Music Theory for Dummies can make what you've made; You'll distinguish yourself better if you can make your tracks more detailed and complex.

I also commented that your sounds are very standard, and that you could work on synth programming a bit. Experiment with basses, leads and pads. Don't just hit the supersaw button every time you fire up your JP8000 or whatever you're using. Think about new sounds you could make instead.

Good luck.

yeah... you are absolutely correct about that. i agree that the song lacks "richness" in sound. i get what you mean and will certainly try much harder in that sense. this is my 1st song with a supersaw... i'd like to try another few more with it before i go on with a different lead. thanks for the good luck

This isn't progressive trance. This is epic trance.
