Need help with a mix.

I've been working on this track for ages now and I just can't get it to sound good. Maybe I've just been listening to it too much.
Anyone that can tell me what's wrong with it?

(3.4 MB, Updated with the longer clip)

Thanks.

it sounds good here...maybe only when you do the kickrolls you should automate an EQ which cuts bass on it a lil bit...cuz they are a bit like storm or something...

also the kick might do better with a different sample...or just a bit more of the high end...this kick doesn't sound enough "concrete" to me...you know what I mean?

otherwise it sounds great, looking forward to the finished version!

Hi!

To start with i really like the song, good work.

Only things I can think of is that when synths kicks in (at 24- and 1:20-)it sounds a bit cluttered in mid-high frequency range at least in my headphones, compared so say commercial tunes like AVB style. So maybe a bit of eq:ing wouldnt hurt. Also agree about that another kick sample could do benefit perhaps one with a bit more punch. And maybe the transition at 22-23 could get a bit smoother.

Keep up the good work

Viktor

Synth lines are great... well thought out and flow nicely... good diversity....

Bassline is excellent... meshes well with the track...

Kick is weak... definitely needs more "BAM"!

Cymbals need work... the frequency is WAY too high... they should be more of a "crash" the way you used them... with a more diverse range... instead you've gotten a weak "chiiiissssssshhhh".... doesn't do the track justice especially at about 1:15... I'd suggest changing the sample... or losing it altogether....

using this sample in reverse sounds good...but not as a crash...

Overall... better than average! Much better than most tracks found in this section.. keep up the great work!!

Thanks everyone for the help. I've finished the track now.
I tried to give the kick more punch, But I was having trouble doing it without it sounding weird and out of place.
