Where do you guys set yours at? Is it specific to certain records? What difference does it make? Just looking for some general info on the specifics of the tone arm weight.

http://www.ortofon.com/ go to DJ under products. For info about a product always best to go to the company site.

I believe it's set at "0", unless you're scratching... or maybe i'm wrong...

I just read that if you are scratching you want the antiskate set to 0. It causes the needle to jump out of the groove on the record when backspinning?

the funny thing is that i bought lucas & Beltram - trust me and the ava mea remix was skipping like on ice straight away as i put the needle down. no matter how much pressure i put on it it still did it.
i thought i was going to have to buy a new one, i then experimented with the anti - skate and that was the thing that fixed it, i put anti skate on 5-6 and was fine. so now i just got to adjust for that tune! bit odd but you guys if you think your vinyl is not playable try playing with the anti skate. it will save you buying another copy or them saying it worked fine on there turntable.
