Tough TA critics are raving some of the best reviews to date.
DJ Bas calls it "The Mexican Avalon." Tangaloo is "Way better than Avalon," says Xtracktor. Anyway you put it, Friday night was amazing.
PLAZA DEL ZAPATO
Leaving The OC at 8:30pm gave us plenty of time to visit our "Secret Spot" in TJ - the Plaza del Zapato. We had to see what one of Mexico's hottest secret gems had to offer. The Plaza is this location that is filled with many smaller NO COVER bars and clubs, where upscale locals go to hang out. It's TJ's playground. Every bar is unique as each one features a different music format. There's something for everyone. You can dance from hip-hop, to reggaetton, to 80's KROQ, to Trance, Spanish Rock, and even Spanish Banda. This is the place where you want to go hang out and have a drink with your friends. Plus, the hottest Mexican women can be found here too. It was time to leave to our original destination: TANGALOO.
TANGALOO
A short cab ride from the Plaza and one federal checkpoint later, we arrive into our final destination: Tangaloo. Our friendly cab driver was scoping the hot women with us, and even flirted with them. That was hilarious, Then again, aren't all of us Mexican's flirts? Hehehe From the moment we arrived at this warehouse turned megaclub, we knew this wasn't going to be our average night. The decor of this megaclub was amazing. It's something we been missing in LA all these years. Everything from the huge lobby, to the stadium seating overlooking the club was amazing. The lighting, the Turbo Sound Concert sound system kicked ass. No, it's not your typical BIG BLUE shitty ass turbo sound speakers everyone uses here in LA. Tangaloo's system kick ass. The big video wall was breath taking; the visuals were one of a kind. And most importantly, the bar service was insane. You can literally be on the dance floor, and a waiter will bring you your drink. Oh did I mention that, the bar is opened all night? Hehehehe :-D
THE OPENING DJ's
Wow, the first opening DJ was good, but the second DJ was insane! He definitely was a crowd pleaser. His build-ups were really good, and his mixing was seamless. That was DJ Mario, a Pastilla Digital resident. Pastilla Digital (Digital Pill) was the promoter for that night.
DESYN MASIELLO
Holy shit! He blew me away! His set was way harder than his previous King King set. It had a different feel to it, until the end, when he began playing more electro. Off course, he played my request... NO MORE CONVERSATIONS. Through out the night you can just see this big smile on Desyn's face. He looked so happy to be playing to such a beautiful crowd. Everyone seemed to enjoy the night, as Desyn kept drinking straight vodka off clubber's vodka bottles. He got really happy when he saw several of us LA peeps. He seemed surprised to see several of us come all the way from LA. Amazing set, awesome crowd interaction as the stage was raised just a tiny bit above the dance floor, just like Spundae. To avoid the huge mess crossing back, we took off at 4am - Desyn was still on.
I would definitely go back. That is one serious Megaclub we're missing here in LA. Much props to Mexico’s #1 Promoters… PASTILLA DIGITAL.
