Hooking up mixer to computer

So my mixer is on it's way and now I'm trying to determine what cables I'll need to go out and buy to make the external mixer function in Traktor.

Here's the setup I had planned that I would configure in Traktor:

So I asked 3 people about this setup, 2 said that this is exactly what needs to be done and then you gotta select the proper outputs in Traktor, and the third person I asked said the other 2 are dumbasses and this setup won't work at all...

Anyways, here are the ouputs available on the back of my soundcard (onboard Asus Dolby Digital 7.1):

If you didn't get what I mean by rear speaker output and side speaker output, you can see in the pic above the LS/RS and LB/RB outputs.

I'm pretty much thinking the initial setup will work perfectly fine...

Am I correct or completely off? Any other ideas maybe?

Thanks!

EDIT: What my DJ/producer friend just sketched up for me:

i have to agree with the third person. If you have 7.1 soundcard that only works 1 channel on tracktor (L & R) you need another soundcard to be able to do the the second channel for traktor. All you have right now is a surround sound setup, you can't mix with a surround sound configuration.

Also quick question, how do you plan to cue & beatmatch?

i would assume that your headphones be in the mixer... but that still doesn't answer the question on how you plan to cue or beatmatch.

Aslo with that setup i see an upcoming ground loop problem as well.

I'm really confused!

I'm mostly getting that Traktor takes care off all this and configures the system for you in the setup screen above.

And since I'm very new at this, I'm not really getting your cue + beatmatch question.

What setup would you scheme up?

with that configuration? Sorry from what i can see, there's not much you can do at this point all the mixer is going to do is be a volume control for seperate speaker channels on a surrrond sound configuration.

ps. Tracktor can do alot, but it does have hardware limitations, The only way i can see you beatmatching and cue with that is using the mouse.

I meant what other hardware or cables or anything would I need to make it function?

What if I put in a second sound card, cause I do have a spare SoundBlaster Live! 1024...
