Right. I got a shitload of ground to cover in my review, which I'm doing first, before I post the pics, because that will be a fuckin' MISSION. In the many, many events and few trips I've made in my time on TA, I've NEVER taken this many pics, so the review needs to be thrown down and out first. As most of you are aware, I was supposed to be in Toronto a little before 5PM from Washington D.C., but due to "Crucial maintenance" needed on my mini plane, I was stalled 2 hours. Luckily for me, Tyler (TranceGrooves) Ben (Tordan) and Scott (ChemEnhanced) were there waiting for me just out the airport door. Many thanks to Katie for keeping in touch with me with text to assure me my ride to the cottage, as well. Babe, I miss you SO much. You're so sweet! <3
We got to the cottage at a little after 10 P.M. and I was sober, yet I STILL managed to bust my ass in the snow and LOSE my glasses. When I got in Spitty and Katie greeted me, then Spitty went out and found my glasses for me. Thankx so much, babe!
I was meeting TOTAs left and right, but finally, after more than a year or so of post-whoring it up with my TOTA brutha Jem, I FINALLY met him. Shit was off the chain!!! The entire basement set up was AMAZING. That dude Dan who set it up (from my understanding) wasn't a TA, but he did a HELLUVA job. So very impressive. Carl Bourgeois was already spinning some great trance, then DJ Robben came on afterwards with more good stuff. Just fun from beginning to end. I was mingling with people most of the time, and buzzed off 2 Molsons. Damn good Canadian beer, FTW!
I met SOOO many of you, it was crazy, but memorable. EVEN MORE memorable was the fucking PLOW. Never seen anything like that in MY LIFE. More highlights include Jem, Spitty, Lars and company wrestling on the basement floor. Plenty of pics of that. MORE STUFF: Jem and company watching some chick getting a BRAZILIAN on video. So many memories. All so good. Saturday night was the BIG one, though, with Kevin Finary playing an early but monumental set. Then Aaron Joseph and Drew (EndGame) BANGING it out with some great trance. Eso played a great set and ending it with 4-5 PVD tracks in a row, including my request, Another Way. Thanks SO much for that, man. Thanks to Aaron for playing Marc van Linden's remix of Need to Be Loved. It was awesome seeing Spitty light up like that. And of course, thanks to Drew for the awesome Raiden pics and for playing the Breaks Dub of Breathing for Jem and I. Precious.
So much fun...this is exactly what I wanted...even with getting stuch in D.C. for two hours, the trip was MUCH more than worth it for me. More comments, later. Will post some pics for tonight. Thank you ALL, ALL ALLLllllll....especially Barry and Dan for orchestrating this monumental fun-filled weekend.
