2006.03.04. MV returns to Hi-Fidelity
Martin Villeneuve

Accomplished Canadian DJ / Producer Martin Villeneuve, has definitely made an impact on the global electronic music scene. MV has seen his productions grace the hottest mix compilations from the most influential dj’s in the land. In October 2001, Deep Dish included two of his Envy tracks on their Global Underground compilation – Deep Dish in Moscow, Anthony Pappa dropped MV’s “Hollow” on his Resolution comp, Trendroid included a brand new MV single on the recent Transport for Kinetic and Creamer & K mixed in MV’s latest Addictive single “From The Underground” on their Bedrock CD. His releases on prominent labels Addictive, Yoshitoshi and SAW records have further cemented his reputation. In fact, MV’s “Hollow” on New York City’s SAW Recordings remains to this day, the labels most licensed release gracing no less than 7 different mix compilations. John Digweed regularly drops MV’s production on his Kiss FM radio show in the UK. Martin has also received accolades for his remixing work. Past remixing credits include the likes of Celeda, PQM, G-Pal, Chris Brann, Agent 001, DJ’s Rule, Sultan & Tonedepth, Jas, BlueTonicWorld and The Stereomovers.
To close out an already stellar year, Deep Dish asked MV to compile and mix alongside Behrouz the second installment of the legendary In House We Trust compilation for Yoshitoshi. The double CD released in November of 2002 features a cross-section of the best material from the Yoshitoshi / Shinichi catalog. The CD received rave reviews from the media and clubbers alike.
"A compilation that not just stands up against the mix CD avalanche but straps on a snowboard and rides it in style."

A 15 year veteran behind the decks, MV is no stranger to the dance floor.
Through the constant touring promoting the In House We Trust CD, MV has emerged as one of the most exciting and technically sound performer in the DJ world today. His flawless sets are characterized by a unique fusion of driving tribal house, sexy vocals and tech laden progressive house. He never fails to leave a lasting impression wherever he performs. On top of holding a residency at Montreal’s notorious Stereo nightclub and his monthly Tao night in Ottawa, MV has played in some of the world’s most exotic and notable nightspots from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires with stops in Budapest, Prague, New York, Athens, Tel Aviv, Jakarta, Prague, Tokyo and Singapore. MV’s has toured in no less than 15 countries covering 4 continents in the last 2 years alone.
With Deep Dish, Saeed & Palash, Satoshi Tomiie, Roger Sanchez and Paul Oakenfold regularly dropping MV’s productions as well as increased international recognition, it is understandable that he has further bolstered his reputation as being a leader of the new breed.
