armin - april 14 - at plush, vancouver

i dont remember seeing any specific threads about armin's show, so i'll just throw this out until kraig posts the official announcement here

armin will be at plush, friday april 14, 2006
tickets can be bought at clubzone for $45 ($52.11 with sc) for the first 100 or something like that
so if you want to go to this party, better get your tickets now

i've seen armin enough so i dont think i'd want to spend $50 to see him again, but im sure this show will sell out, as did the previous few times he was here

I know they don't have to .. but!

Are there any Twisted representatives reading
this forum that can justify a reason for the price hike?

It seem very high for such a small venue.

I'm very curious wheather Armin raised his rates
after his ARMIN ONLY step up the ladder to TIESTO-dom?
Or is it somebody at Twisted eyeballing that new mercedes they
always wanted ..

So is it ... greedy Armin or greedy Twisted?

I'm really contemplating attending this show but, it'll be
my birthday, so ... hits the right time of year at least.

$50 is dumb

but undertsnadable..it will sell out. i don't blame twisted...

if tickets were $20 twisted would easily break even with 1,000 people paying, but i gaurantee scalpers would also have a field day

and it's not like i don't like armin...he rules ...it's more about this shit that gets associated with djs nowadays...

i paid $20 for front row bloc party tickets....yet a dj.....lol

it's also plush, the venue is expensive and im sure the owner knows he can jack up the price and still make money. i'm sure its a lot of different factors at play here

i almost paid $50 to go to see the philip glass orchestra play at q.e. theater tonight to the koyaanisqatsi. and that's a live performance by a whole ensemble

you gotta remember tho, armin is the 'it' he is what tiesto was 4-5 years ago when tickets to his parties were $20 from ticketmaster and $150 outside commodor. anything that's big and popular will always cost a lot of money and make a lot of money

all of TAs can choose to not attend the even, and it will still sell out and twisted probably wouldnt care much because we are not the money generating crowd at their parties

I'd way rather pay 50 bucks to see an ensemble of professionally trained musicians performing a piece by probably one of the best composers alive today (although i don't really like that film score), plus the fact that he is playing with the ensemble is badass.

50 bucks to see a dj throw some cds on is _way_ too much. but you are right, id do the same if i was twisted hehe

its too bad more people here don't like prog, theres a fatty lineup at lotus the next few months and the most expensive ticket will be maximum 20 bucks :P
